RE MX or Fi.Q

I'm seriously buying one or the other within the next two weeks! What do you all think. Either one I go with will be in a 4.5 cu. ft. box tuned to 33 Hz. The MX would be run by a Hifonics BX1500, but the Q would probably be run by an SX1250.1 rated at 1435@1 ohm. Give me some opinions! Can the Q take that power daily? I could run the Q with the Hifonics as well...

The MX should outperform the Q in every category. But it should, it's 3X the price.

I love Fi subs, but if you are seriously comparing these two subs then the MX is the way to go. Apples to oranges here man.

Ok, just wondering... A friend on the another forum hit 140.1 sealed with a kx1200.1 using a 15 inch Q. I don't think it's completely apples to oranges. Both subs have good SQ and get loud. Thanks for the input though!

Are you looking for a sub that scores high on the TL? Is that the most important factor to your decision? If so, I'd go with the Q. I bet it tickles the Mic better.

He said it. It cost a lot more but you will get a lot more so if you have the cash...go for it.

The MX is a much more sofisticated sub. Neo motor over a basic 180oz TC9 slug set, 4" coil over 3", custom tooled basket over very common 12 spoke, smooth poly cone over rugged paper mix, long lasting rubber surround over classic foam.

Online RE dealers are expnesive and over priced. I think ga12r will ship them to you for better than you will find online.
