And the efficiency, and the enclosure size. Good luck getting anywhere near that 54mm xmax in a 'normal' sized box.

Neither one is really anything like the old XXX.

600-700 in 06 but the price (at least the MSRP) has gone up a LOT. Over a grand a piece actually. Min advertised price is $800. That's still more than 2x the price and it's hardly 2x the woofer of the previous generation.
