i wile back i broke my oil pan, power steering pump, and radiator due to some crap in the road i dident see wile driving home tired from droping off my girl at work at 5 am on sunday. any one with a low car can feel my pain of not being able to drive any where.

any way i hat to sell my system to buy parts to repair. and now with school started i cant put in as many hours at work and i just dont see me having a lot of money to spare for a wile so i want to put a budget system in my car. cant stand not having subs. so i was thinking RE 8's. i have heard they are beefy for what they are and can get loud. but can they get low. im guessing not as much as a 12in woofer but will they impress for what they are worth.

also whats a good amp to put to them? and how much power can i run to them daily. i know they are rated at 175 so should i not go over this or can i put more to them with out a problem.

the reason i see this as what i want to do is because seeing youtube videos of these subs and the fact that they are like 80 a piece makes me feel like it will be worth it for a little more bass.

re re subs should handle 200-225 safely. I've seen people using 400 per before in videos on 10s. For the price, well it's RE.. definitly get what you pay for there so it's something to look into.

so these will have no problem with 375 at 4 ohms is what you are all telling me...... any RE dealers on here?
a pair of RE8s would put a 4ohm load on your amp and eat all the power. definatly port them. i would say 1 cu ft net and tuned to 38 Hz
