RE 8 Dustcap.... or another dustcap

Okay, so I have an RE 8 with a few holes in the dust cap (was known problem when i bought it, thats why it was cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

I emailed RE inquiring how much a new dust cap would run but no reply.

Does anyone know another place to get one, or does anyone have one on hand? (i know partsexpress sells cheapies but im hoping to find another RE dc)

Diameter is like 3" and it has the RE logo....

so maybe a 3" dc anyone? pm me with info and price shipped to 72076.

if nothing else how do i carefully take this thing off so i can fix the holes from behind then reattach maybe?

yeah. i built the box and all... but i can hear air coming out so its not ready for service yet. im thinking if i dont find anything i'll try to get an exacto knife and cut the glue, maybe i can get it off without ****ing everything up.... or maybe just put some electrical tape and black silicone over the holes lol... they're REALLLLY small, i might just try that first.

dont use silicone. get an xacto, and cut the hole to an easy shape that is like a .5" square or something, then get some thin cardboard and use CA glue to glue it in place.

will solve your problem without adding tons of weight issues and should last forever. it will look terrible tho.
