RD Super Heavyweights?? are they good?

My friend has a set of freshly reconed rd alpha max 15's. He's wants to sell them to me for a really good price. Are they worth buying? Ive heard of rd before, but I dont know too much about them.

Edit: nvm, theyre 15" Rd alpha max with triple stiff spiders and double leads with direct leads beefed up to handle 3000 a piece.

How much power are you running? Those heavyweights are geared towards more SPL, I honestly don't know how they would sound for a daily setup. But if you have the power for them it will be loud

Honestly, I wouldnt run them just yet. Id keep them sitting for my next set up. Im just asking if theyre worth buying. Im getting them pretty cheap compared to how much I see them go for. If I do run them, Id probably put up to 4400 watts rms to both.

You would probably wanna throw even more at them. And for burps they can take a ton, but I have no idea if they r very musical.
