RD HW VS DD 9512 VS DC LVL 4 or 5

IA DP's or AQ would be my vote with that amount of power, and save a little coin

Well the thing is I will be running it at a different ohm and getting another battery so more power and I already have a custom box for two 12's and they happen to be the right cubic space for the subs and the box was a very good box. LOL So essentially I am trying to keep the box because I would rather not restart a full custom job from scratch but just change the woofers and maybe add another amplifier later.

Off that power I'd say DC lvl4xl's or also consider the AQ HDC's as they will take that power easily and can sound very good. I run HDC's and a teammate runs the lvl4's, so I've heard both numerous times and like both set ups...

you honestly think the HDC3s sound good? if you want SPL DC level 5 is probably your best bet, 9500 and the hw arent far behind.. if you want something musical, SSA xcon, audiopulse axis, dd 3500 rd alpha max t3 TSS will sound better than the bid SPL woofers..

If you don't build a box for the sub woofers you are purchasing there is now way that some random box is gonna be the right airspace and tuning. You might get extremely lucky and have something that works - but like for the AQ it wants to be tuned at 40Hz..

Much lower tuning and you are just losing potential SPL's from the woofer.

What I am going to do is use the air space which is within the recommended and basically rebuild the ports and other stuff to of course tune it correctly.....I think im going to end up going with 1 15" hw

DC 4XL all the way they get louder and sound better than Fi BTL's and is definately your best bet for the power and sq your looking for even though it is an SPL sub, also look at an Omega, it wont compete with the HW and lvl 5 but those are mostly SPL subs, although the HW's dont sound bad from what I hear...

Can anyone confirm that the XLs are better than BTLs, cause I was actually looking in this range of subs as well.
