RD alpha 12" or FI Q 12"

im looking for input on the RD alpha,how it sounds,does it go low, etc. is it comparable to an FI Q as far as SQ and low end extension? my amp is an SAE-1200d. my equipment isnt installed yet, and i have a BNIB RD alpha 12 that I would rather sell to buy a FI Q if the Q is a better choice for me

I loved my Alpha V.2. It was AMAZING. It got low tuned to 36hz, and really low tuned to 32hz. And it was VERY loud and sounded amazing on my IA 20.1

I've ran a Q and an Alpha. The Q i ran was a 18 in a box tuned to 30hz and the Alpha was a 15" in a box tuned to 30hz.

I wasn't all that impressed with the Q to be honest, it's roll off in the upper notes left me wanting. Dont' get me wrong it sounded great but my mids coudn't pick up where it rolled off at.

The Alpha suprised me quite a bit with how loud it got off my SAE-1200d. I thought it sounded good, maybe not quite as good as the Q but good none the less. It also got louder IMO.

its ok about the upper roll-off. im looking for the sub with better low end

Then u wanna look at the Fs...i'm almost 100% positive the Q has a lower Fs.

i have an alpha v3 on a 1500d and its amazing!!!! it gets loud as hell! I dont think my box is tuned too low so it doesnt get mad low like it could...

I have the same exact complain about quick roll-off in the upper end with the fi Q. It sound nice down there tho.

Alphas will probably be in my next setup

Q does have a very strong bottom end as I run a single 15 in the GF's car.

I wouldn't run RD if it was free...

my 2 12's did the score in my sig with some random song and no testing and my wall behind my seats wasn't even close to sealed. the lows kill let me tell you but i have mucho powero and i need to shrink my box down, its too big and i get some unloading in 45-55hz range.
