rca voltage problem

I have a clarion DVS-9755z dvd processor and was installing a second amp for a sub, I made the mistake of not turning the car off when I connected the rca cable from the sub amp to the subwoofer rca line out on the Clarion processor, once I did this I lost the audio from the from my amp running the speakers. Ive checked all of the fuses in the entire system. The amps now are both acting as if they are not getting sufficient power. The dvd player and the tv deck are both working fine with the exception of the lack of audio. Is it possible to blow the audio processor in a unit by plugging an rca cable in while the unit is on? Im at a loss!

Any testing suggestions would be appreciated.
