SPLC Fails
So I understand that splitting up RCA's for 4 channel amps and such using y-splitters works fine, but does the quality of the splitter affect the sound? I know that most splitters are short, but I would still imagine that a scosche splitter hooked up to, say, monster RCA cables would have the quality of the weakest link (the scosche). Would I be right in that assumption? And when it comes to my home theater system...I have component cables to carry the HD signal from my PS3 to my TV, and lets say I used the average Scosche Y-Splitter or a Radioshack female-to-female connector in line with the component cables...would it negate the benefits of the HD signal? I don't really know if there are such things as component Y-splitters and female-to-female connectors.
