RCA Quality effect volume?

Ok so i was running 13ft rcas from my Ld to my amp.

The sub was loud i never really gave it a 2nd thought.

I decided to clean up the wires so i bought some 3.3ft

Fosgate rcas and all i can say is wow... the sub's volume

increased atleast 20%.

I just thought this was weird any explanation besides my old rcas were crap?

that is odd.

unless the old rca's were complete crap and were crimped/pinched i doubt that would be the cause.

but i have heard of weirder things happening.
