RCA outs on HU and which amp goes where///

Im hooking up two amps...one for my subs and the other for my front components and rear speakers. The back of my HU has 3 rca aouts (front rear and sub). Should I run the 4 channel amp out the rca out labeled front? Or should It be rear? Should I run the sub amp to the sub RCA out or chain it from the 4 channel amps 'sum output' RCA? Im confused as to which amps to hook up to which RCAs coming off the HU.

THANKS!

Here's what I would do:

-4 ch amp: designate 2 channels for front and 2 channels for rear.

-Hook the front pre-outs up to two channels on the 4 ch amp.

-Hook the rear pre-outs to the other 2 channels on the 4 ch amp

-Make sure your speaker wire connects to the right terminal on the amp for each speaker location.

-Mono amp: Hook the sub pre-outs to this

By doing this, you can utilize your HU's bells and whistles like sub control, LPF, HPF, and creating different frequencies in all the drivers.

That way isn't the only way to do it but it is the method that makes the most sense (and the way your head unit is designed to be utilized ~ is why it has three sets of preouts with one being a dedicated subwoofer output)
