rca help...very cold out side, help!

i was installing my temp system today....and when i had everything running, i turned it on to see if it worked, and i had a problem...

i figured out its mys rca cables because when i would connect the cables, the subs would make a loud POP....and when the cables were near the inputes, it would make noise...when i would lower the volume to 0, it would make a pop, and bringing it up to 1 would also make it pop....

what could be wrong, i need help...

How high is the gain on the amp set? Normally if it does that it is set pretty high, and it is popping because it is so sensitive.

when we lowered the gain, it didn't pop, but in my other vechicle, this never happened, even when the gain was as high as it would go( not normal settings)

check your ground. it is either a bad ground, bad rcas, or gains are too high.

you have got to be freezing man (literally). what is the temp?

also just a little tidbit of info....i wouldnt ever recomend running your amp w/ the gains turned all the way up....run the risk of running your amp into clipping which can ruin your subs...good luck tho

thanks for the info, but i learned the hard way not to do that....i said that as an example of the problems i am having now....
