rca ground?

how do you ground the rca's? i have a pioneer premier 690ub and all of a sudden engine whine ,ihere this is common.i am getting a new one but i dont want to happen again please help

the pioneers are well known for there engine whine man sorry to say it, on the other aspect you can get rca with a ground wire built into the rca set( i dont think they make them anymore becouse there worthless) all it is, is another wire that runs independantally but close to the rca. i guess this helps the rca's out i have no idea tho i just have a old *** set of rca with a grounding wire that in my youth used to for a amp remote power( rofl a horrible idea)

Strip wire, put around RCA's, attach to the case.

I wish my problem was that easy. I thought I had it figured out a few days ago. distortion up the *** listening to metal w/ heavy high's...especially singing...the speakers would make a "crackling" sound.

anyway, the other day I turned the bass boost to 0 on my sub-amp and the door speakers cleared up immediately...then resorted back to shitty the next day for no reason. been told its the pioneer's internal amp that went to shit, but wouldn't that make NO sound come out of the speakers?

i'm so ****ing confused! i just re-wired everything to make sure, re-grounded everything, took my subs completely out, disconnected amp...nothing.

now, I just ran speaker wire to the back...going to use the front 2 speakers connected to an external amp...see if that fixes it.

that's it ,that will solve the pioneer problems ,cause sonix will either swap or upgrade .you think if i do that it should be fine ,i have the hu ground not thru the trucks harness,but on its own

Should solve your problems. If it doesn't, then the ground on the HU isn't proper.
