RCA cables, which to buy?

I am trying to get the most out of my new install I will be doing over these winter months. Monster is what I planned on running. Should I run two sets of 2 channel RCA's or one 4 channel RCA? (The germs and the rear fill will be run off of the same RCA, unless that is not advised) Also I am thinking of going with the 400 series from monster, they have a sperate cable that they use for subwoofers, should I go with that? With my previous installs I have just run "normal" lol rcas, nothing special that cost any significant amount of money. Is it worth it to run high dollar RCAS and which do you recommend?

The Amps I will be running are as follows:

JBL GTO1201.1 for the 12" Type X

JBL PX300.4 for the Germs (Biamped)

JBL GTO75.2 for the "rear fill" (speakers not chosen yet)

For now powered through an ALPINE 9855, but considering running the PXA-701 (I dont think thatll make any difference as far as choices)

Let me know!

No benefit to running 4 channel vs. 2 channel and definitely no benefit to running Monster cable or any really expensive cable. The idea of a dedicated subwoofer cable is laughable actually.
Not for HT, when you only need one channel. There are subtle differnences in sub cable design, but none would be noticed in a car.

Most of the people I'm familiar with will recommend you UTP cable (unshielded twisted pair) for the best noise rejection in an automotive enviornment.

Beyond that, and getting a decent quality cable that the terminal isn't going to fall off of in a month......it doesn't really matter a whole lot.

Oh...and make sure it's flexible. I made the mistake of getting some "home audio" cables for my install......look great, good quality, and affordably priced.....but just don't bend well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If you have soldering skills, you could make your own cable, which I found is a lot cheaper than any cable you can buy, and it's always "quality cable." Like others have said though, it really doesn't make any difference beyond the shielding //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dose one get the supplies from Parts-Express or another place. I always wanted to try making my own, but haven't looked into prices or had time to do so.

Knu Konceptz is a great place to RCA and as suggested go with UTP. I wouldn't go out and spend top dollar on some Monster cables. I have a 6ch pair of Monster RCA's in my car (got em for 10 bucks brand new) and I actually had RCA induced noise. Never had that with any other pair of cables.
