Gas powered cars and trucks can easily hit 80 MPH with the proper mods....

The fastest I've seen an electric go was near 50 which was nearly unbelievable for an electric......it was an onroad model, don't remember much else about it.....

Electrics are smoking nitro now with the influx of brushless motors , and lithium batteries //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

SWEET!!!

Like I said, most of my RC knowledge is a remnant of the mid 80's electric buggy scene.......my younger brother got into the nitro trucks for a while but i never really did.....

Thinking an onroad car might be in my future if they're getting that kind of performance from them now...........//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ive done rc cars. Im more partial to electric. Ive owned everything from a Losi XXT-CR, XX-CR, XX_Kinwald edition, Traxxas Nitro Rustler, HPI RS-4, and a XX4.

Ive been out of it for a while. I havent experienced brushless motors or the new lithiums. Last time i was active 2000maH Ni-Cads were the shit.

I was deeply involved in the RC hobby about 5 years ago, i still have all of my cars (RC12lc, RC10GT, Kyosho MP-5, Losi xx-t, yokomo YZ-10, a couple tamiya cars lunchbox, firedragon, etc, and my main car a serpent) I spent way too much money on the hobby and it was very time consuming. Id suggest gettin electric to start.

electric can go faster then nitro unlimited RPMS

but ye i have owned many nitro cars and trucks, for a beginer i would say go electric if you have no knowledge on engines and such and cant learn easily ha. if you wan tgas go for it i did, i love th egas ones. make sure you have a hobby shop in youre area that carrys the fuel brand you want to run as well as parts so if you need a part right away youd ont have t wait on shipping form the internet. id say go for a Savage X, i have one of the original savahges from 3 years ago and some parts are still stock and have not broken on me.

every car and truck will break its just how it goes, but some will be stronger then others
