I drive a 1996 Dodge Intrepid and I have a 12" sub in the trunk runnin on 400W...to avoid noise cancellation, i moved the sub so that it is as far to the rear of the trunk as possible (closest to the trunk lid) sounds great inside, but now i get an embarrassing rattling noise from the outside (quite noticable) i loosened off the rubber stoppers a bit and it helped 'a bit' lol, Dynamat is too expensive so i had this idea:
does anyone know what im talking about when i talk about the spongy foam padding you use for beds, it kinda resembles the sound absorbing material used in studios...anyway, it is spongy and does have a very surface-area friendly side, would this be any good at depening sound in my trunk?
I can get this stuff cheap and if anyone knows if it will work good then i might aswell coat my trunk with it
also, is there any other handy tips I could try that i may have sitting around the house that doesnt involve buying highly marked-up products? (such as Dynamat or eDead)
