I have something I would like to share with anyone thinking about purchasing Rattletrap Extreme.

I would not recommend this product for 3 reasons:

1) Customer service is horrible. You call and have to leave a voice mail message and its been a week and 10 phone calls and still no response.

2) The product Rattletrap Extreme made my truck smell like tar. Its been a week windows down Febreeze and a fan blowing in the interior and no change still smells like tar. No mention of this

smell on their website at all.

3) They claim to be the alternative for Dynamat Xtreme and personally I do not see how they can claim this because I used Dynamat Xtreme on my roof and it does not smell and it seems to me the panel is deader sounding when tapped on.

To sum up what Iam saying is I would stay clear of Rattletrap unless you like the smell of tar!

I have not used rattle but I have used fatmat which is just its smaller brother 50mil. I have no complaints about it. Of course its going to smell its asphalt maybe you should have known what you were buying before you bought it. As far as it’s deadening properties I say it’s just as good as any other manf 50mil product just at a lower price. The asphalt smell does not bother me as much as some I guess nonetheless its cheap and it works well.

Dynamat Xtreme and Damplifier Pro I wouldn't go anywhere cheaper. I had the mega mat it does smell too. I don't know about the cheap Lowes peel-seal roofing stuff might stink some tar too.
