Alright guys i need some help my sub keeps making this rattling sound almost sounds like a loose screw like i put on does ya chain hang low and it makes like this rattling sound but if i put any any other song it hits fine no rattle is is just because of the diffrence in how deep each bass is deep from each song help me out guys was just wondering bout this

could be your cone slapping your tinsel leads

if you look at your sub from the side, the tinsel leads are usually coming off of the + and - terminals, traveling between the cone and the spider.

your cone moves further back and forth when it hits low notes than it does when it hits higher notes, and it could be coming in contact with the leads when it does this, making a slapping sound

what kind of sub do you have, and what kind of box is it in (ported or sealed)

You using a ported box? The sub could be bottoming out below tuning frequency if you don't have a subsonic filter set properly.

Also, sometimes resonation of nearby panels can sound like they are coming from the sepakers themselves, when in reality, it is the panel vibrating/rattling at only a certain frequency.

chain hang low doesnt get that low...it hovers in the 40s

yeah but it happens when i have the trunk open also i have a ported bandpass box but was made to specs of my subs not sure of specs i have to find em but only happens on the deep part of the bass on that one song no other song with deep bass it doesnt i cant figure it out

lows for bass for me is like 30-40's hz ranges the ones you can usually feel

yeah i know that song doesnt hit that hard thats why doesnt make sense i mean there are songs i play that hit harder then that and no rattling at all
