I know absolutely nothing about video. Seriously. Never paid much attention to it because, well....I don't really care much about it. Don't know too much about security either; always have my alarms professionally installed (warranty reasons), so I haven't dealt with them hands-on too much. But I pretty much got the basics of them down though.

There's my two main pitfalls.

i agree entirely, anything above a 8 is just silly unless you're Wiggins or Gary Biggs or someone
