I've 7 of these and have owned nine over the years... One of the best SQ subs I've heard and as well as being great at playing infrasonic bass...
What do you think the optimal box size would be? A reputable person told me 8cft or so...And ported or sealed?I've 7 of these and have owned nine over the years... One of the best SQ subs I've heard and as well as being great at playing infrasonic bass...

I listed everything else I have, once thats gone I dont have to see anything anymore...
I kinda know how you feel, man. It took me a while to get over totaling my vehicle a couple years back. I spent a lot of money on that thing and had a ton of gear to install. I had to sell everything to help put a down payment on my new vehicle, and I didn't buy any audio equipment for quite a while afterwards. I'm just now starting to buy stuff again...Yea, after I sold the Orions I lost a part of my life and its never been the same. I'm pretty sure you have more than $6k worth of equipment lying around, man...I've been thinking about selling all my stuff on ebay and not looking back...I figure I could get 5 or 6 g's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
Yeah 8cf is their designed box size for home- but that would be to hard to fit into a car lol. Hence the 3cf suggested for car use but remember there's usually a transfer function to flatten out the curve a little. I have heard a 3.5cf box tuned at 25 hz and even though it sounded ok I still prefer it sealed. I like going to a 4cf box just for the extra bottom extension. What do you think the optimal box size would be? A reputable person told me 8cft or so...And ported or sealed?
