I'm just curious really. If I go to same maker for a sub box and the sub is rated for 1.5 - 2.5 cu ported. What's the difference from the 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 etc. if all the boxes were tuned at the same frequency?
more air space and longer port on the larger boxes , also the bigger boxes tend to be a bit more efficient and have better bass response ,but the woofer may have to work a bit harder
Will it hurt the sub in a bigger box? Also, what does a longer port area mean? Being that, they are tuned at the same frequency shouldn't they all sound the same?
