I guess it's 100 x2 @4ohm and 185 x 2 at 2ohm.
How would I override the factory eq? On the new lexus with Mark Leminson system??

The best way is to use an external DSP and you can still keep your factory look. They're fairly expensive so if you can't afford it, Audiocontrol lc6i could work too.

LC6I is only going to take speaker level inputs and give RCA outputs, along with some level controls. That is not going to correct the factory EQ. PXA-H800 is much more appropriate, although the best choice should be determined with RTA measurements to see exactly what happens with this Mark Levinson system.

When they do a system like a ML system they tune everything to match the equipment and environment. A lot of times they sound very good but lack volume. If you only change speakers you are changing the parameters. Every driver has its own characteristics. I would hate for you to unknowingly half *** it.

I should clarify my statement about using an RTA. I did not mean to make acoustic measurements, I meant using an RTA to make electrical measurements of the outputs of the ML amplifier. With a pink noise test track this will show factory crossovers, EQ, and whether the EQ changes with volume position.

I was told that the only way to make the stock system louder would be to add power. The local shop didn't know anything about the JBL ms-8. I have chosen to use an audio control LCP-2i to splice into the sub wires on the stock system and run the 12" FI q off of my JBL bp1200.1amp for now. When I can afford to get new component speakers, I will have to figure out what to do with the rest of the ML system. The shops tell me the only real way to do a good system would be to completely gut the entire ML system and start from scratch. That will cost a fortune.
