Okay, since i started glassin today, i decided to switch my SLC tweeter with the CS tweeter and see if i could make some kind of Rainbow "frankenstien" comp set. Apparently it dint work lol dint sound too hot (yes i tried both crossovers). But this is a comparison of the tweeters here are some pix compairing:
the CS is on the left and looks a bit bigger
the butts of the 2 tweeters. the CS dwarfs the SLC.
now for the sound comparison. The contour tweet was much more laid back and "quieter" than the Soundline, but the contour was MUCH MUCH more detailed. in the IASCA cd JAZN burned me (thanks again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) on the intro track, you can here the lady's spit much clearer with the CS tweet, but for some reason it was quieter. The soundline was a bit harsher, and less detailed.
IMHO i like the SLC tweeter better i dont know why, i guess i was accustomed to it or something but the CS tweeter was too laid back for me.
[/comparison]
oh and if you play a test tone with a tweeter, it sounds soo cool! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
