What do you mean by oxidation?

Metal oxidizes sort of like a grainy/chippy type texture and look. It also turns a little greenish in color. Almost like rust.

Not too bad. You can always paint them. You don't see the magnets anyways unless you invert them and I don't know why you would do such a thing anyways.
