Rainbow Kicks Just Arrived

Just got my set of brand new Rainbow SLC Kicks 6.5" Comp set. I got them for a rediculous deal from someone who i dont think knew what they had, or stolen, either way whatever. Can anyone tell me more about the tweeter that comes with these? Is it the cal 25? Would love to hear opinions on an amp to pair with this set. About to order some Audio Technix deadener, modelling clay, some egg carton foam to properly do my doors. Any opinions on direction would be awesome. These will be going in my 95 Eclipse GSX hatchback and i plan on putting the tweeter in the stock dash location (close to the windshield) as i heard this is a perfect spot for tweeters if you point them towards the windshield. If they point up and bounce off the windshield is that all i need? OR should i put them in the swivel cup mount and point them MORE towards the front of the vehicle?

Here's some pics, since there seems to be a lack of them on the net.

If i know they are stolen for sure, i am not ok with it. How am i ever supposed to know? I am just assuming for the price i got them for. Never stolen ****, and i dont appreciate people who steal in any way.

Actually i was eluding more to the topic of "we'll discuss this another day", which we could (preferably not here) and this is not what the topic is? I'm sorry if you are not having a good day but please not feel the need to automatically troll a post. I never said i agreed with stealing, i bought it on eBay how am i supposed to know? Do i ask every seller if their product they are selling is stolen? I said "whatever" because this is not the place to be talking about morals, this is a car audio forum. I do not like when people steal, dont agree with it in anyway. Simply put, you are on the wrong forum if you wish to bring up issues of stealing my friend.

Back on topic, does anyone have some insight to my original and intended post i have made in the General Car Audio Discussion forum topic? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes. Deaden the doors as well as you can, take your time attention to detail.

Also, make sure your amp can give plenty of clean power to those mids , don't want to under power those babies.

Dash location is a good spot. You can always experiment different locations.

What its the crossover point for mids and tweets on that passive crossover?

Proper tuning with good clean power and these should sound good.

I find tweeters on dash is generally horrible. My advice would be to wire them up with a few feet of loose wire and use some tape or something to experiment with different positions and aiming. It's largely personal preference and to some degree the design of the tweeters where and at what axis they'll sound best. There's no substitute for some experimentation before you commit to mounting unless you simply don't want to modify/cut anything and have only 1 place where you are willing to put them.

Good advice.

I actually enjoyed the dash location in my car though.

What are people's opinions on the Alpine PDX amps? I dont want to go cheap on the amp, but also dont want to completely overpay. Are they worth the money used?

More width from the sail panels, and with a correct angle, you can get height **** near perfect.
Got ya.

They don't need 150 Watts. 30 to 50 is enough.

I love my rainbows. I think mine where the slx deluxe or something like that. Sound great, very eq-able.
Id like to try some someday, I hear good things about rainbow.
