I just jumped the gun and finally purchased these components..

it'll be ~320w x 2 at 4 ohms. just be smart with the gain, i'm running a little over 200 per side to mine, they take it fine.

So you have A/B compared the HEXs to the Germaniums? Im going to venture a guess and say no. Furthermore this isnt a voting thread and he's not asking for which components to choose, obviously he's already done that part, so where exactly was your post relevant?

I am only giving mine 80rms each, but I've read that they'll take 200-250 with no problems.

Got to get me a new amp.

I'm running a set of Germs that I just finished installing this weekend. I'm using a Kicker zx350.4 bridged for 175w x 2. These Germs love it!

The only downside is, I think I'll be messing around with tweeter placement, phase adjustment, attenuation adjustments, etc, for weeks before I get everything just right. Double-sided tape for tweeter experimentation is your friend! But it's my first time with components, so it's fun.

from the website yes, the 100.4 will do roughly 320 bridged.

You have enough power, that you might want to try bi-amping them. You could use the front channel for the woofers, and the rear channel for the tweeters, and you can just use the fader control to give fine control over the relative loudness of the tweeters.

Or go active.

anybody want to give me a nice amp that will do around 150-200w at 4 ohm's? 4 channel (bridged of course), or 2 channel?

I have a Diamond audio D7152 that does ~168 x 2(600x1) thats new I can sell ya, high end amp. PM if you are interested, they would rock the Germs very nicely and its one sexy piece of equipment.
