hi

i was thinking of buying the rainbow CMX 265 since i can get them cheap, but i need to know if they can give loud clear vocals, also would they be able to handle 250rms per side, or if they cant would they get loud enough of 75rms since my amp in 4ch mode gives 75rms and when bridged gives 250rms

thanks for the help

I have given them 250 w a side numerous times and while they take it fine, if you dont know what you are doing, I would not advise it. 75w will be fine for them, but to make them really wake up and shine you need atleast 120w.

I have a set of Rainbow CMX 265's installed, and I love them! Vocals are very clear, nice midbass, and the CAL25 titanium tweeter is great for a metal tweet.

I've got mine bridged at about 210w a side, and they take it fine. I DO have my gains adjusted down pretty conservatively, however. Like Premier said, if you get a set, just be careful with your adjustments if you're giving them 200+w a side.

hmmm with that in mind i may have to get the CMX 465 instead, do they still have the same tweeter and will they give crisp loud vocals

The CMX Kicks might be an alternative to the double midbass 465.
X2 on the CMX Kick idea.....the regular CMX's have a decent amount of midbass by themselves. Getting a set of the CMX Kicks would rock pretty good in the midbass dept, I'm sure. It'd be much more practical than getting the 465's with 4 midbass woofers.
