ok, im looking into a component set i want either 5 1/4" or 6.5" and silk dome tweeters i pretty much narrowed it down to about two brands but am up to new opinions, i want a silk dome tweeter because its going in a single cab truck and i hate when it is too bright,

i like these

but whats the difference between them and these

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14827

and also these for the jl ones,

and also another problem that i am having is that i when i buy this one of these components sets, im going to still want to find some 4 in. speakers for my dash, but i cant seem to find any that dont have the tweeter already in them, i would rather it just be the speaker with no tweeter, if i just unhook the tweeter from the speaker will it sound the same as having a regular speaker with no tweeter

and another question whats up with this forum and not getting any responses it says that there is like 40 +people viewing and none of the threads really have that many posts whats up with that

Its called being patient.

I would get the SS out of all of those choices you listed, but i wouldn't even limit myself to those options and i would get the 200.2 if you wanted the SS.

Why would you put 4 inch speakers in your dash? Unless you are talking about a 3 way component system which i don't believe JL or Kicker carries.

whats the difference between the rs and the ss kickers??? and do they kill ur ears??? im only going to be putting one l7 10" in the truck(93 s10 regular cab) so i dont just want to hear highs its a little truck also so u ahve to take that into account??

and everyone says that the 4 in. round ones sound better in the dash then the usual 4x6s that are in there from the factory

o and by the way thanks for helping

honestly, check out the TMA 6.5 components. they're made by JL Audio, and i've owned both the VR's and these, and between the two, the TMA's spank the VR's, for less money. you can allocate the saved cash towards more power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So you have a tweet, a 6.5 in the doors and a 4 in in your front dash? Unless i was going 3 way id just stick in a tweet and 6.5s in the doors. Save you some money as well.

Ive heard the SS but not the RS. SS have pretty good midbass. All i know is that the KS midbass is lacking, and the tweeter is very harsh. How much you looking to spend? At the price the SS's are you can get some Rainbow SLCs kickbass i believe. Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS also fit your budget but are 6.75 in woofers.
