I'm just looking for opinions on this....I know some people like rear fill, some don't. I'm hoping people from both preferences will chime in with their votes/opinions.
My car is a 2003 Mazda Protege' 5 (sport wagon/hatchback). I've currently got a set of CMX 265's running as my front stage, no rear fill, and bridged at 200w a side. I've got a 12" Eclipse as my substage. My amp is an older 5 channel Alpine, specs are 100X4, and 374X1 for the 5th channel.
I've also got a set of SLC 265 Kicks, and I've talked to a couple of different car audio installers that have recommended that I consider installing the SLC Kicks in the rear, because bridging the front 4 channels of the 5 channel isn't making the best use of an amp like the one I have, according to "them". Because my car is a little longer due to it being a wagon, they told me that installing the SLC's in the rear would help to fill in sound "gaps" in the car, because my CMX's are mounted up front in my doors/A Pillars, and my sub is in the very back in the hatchback. They say if I have the SLC Kicks installed in the rear, it would really fill out the sound of my music with both comp sets running together, and it would make better use of my 5 channel amp.
I know there's a lot of different opinions out there on this. Let me have 'em!
