Radio smoked ?

My alpine 9883 smoked on me yesterday. I was driving down the road and I smelt a burning smell then white smoke came from my radio.

All my wires were hooked up right and secure and crimped together and covered with electrical tape.

The radio has a burn mike on it from something inside. Anyone ever heard of something like this
