Radio loses signal when switched from acc to on

I installed a new radio. It works (bluetooth, usb, etc.) in accessory mode and when the vehicle is on, but the radio loses antenna signal when the car is on; I can pick up all the stations in accessory. If I turn the key from acc to on without starting it, the signal is lost.
