Raamat BXT vs damplifier vs v1se²

Which option would give me the best bang for my buck considering i could use twice as much v1se² for the same price? It would be about 80 sq feet of edead vs 60 sq. feet of raamat vs 40 sq. feet of damplifier. And how important is ensolite or a similiar product? Would it be worth doing when on a budget like mine?

http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/products/ i am guessing people are going to send you that link. i am kind of looking at sound deadener right now also and i was thinking i was going to go with the raamat until i found this link on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/120-FT-eDead-v1-Sound-Deadener-w-Free-Dynamat-Roller_W0QQitemZ190086989388QQihZ009QQcategoryZ67760QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem . i think i am gonna give that stuff a try. its a good price for the amount you get so idk.

From using both, I much preferred Raammat over Damplifier.

I've said this probably a hundred times on this forum....but price/performance, you absolutely can not beat Raammat. The customer service is phenominal aswell. Rick is an excellent guy to do business with, and is extremely knowledgeable in the field of audio. Raammat is the only deadener I'll use from here on out.......

Whether or not you would benefit from ensolite (or a like product) depends on what exactly your goals are as far as deadening is concerned. It would help with road noise and controlling sound absorption/reflection. Whether or not that is part of your goals decides whether or not you would benefit from it.

Well this will be my first install so i don't think i will use the ensolite. Can you only buy raamat by the roll (62.5 sq. feet) or is it possible to get a different amount? I didn't really want to go over $100 shipped

I'm going to chime in and say how great of a guy Anthony @ Second Skin Audio is. Had a shipping problem, gave him a call... very nice guy. He answered my emails promptly, and even found a thread on the forum here and replied... I thought it was pretty cool for him to take the time out of his day to do that.

Unfortunately that is the one downfall of Raammat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif It's only able to be purchased by the roll.

You can e-mail Rick though and see if he has any smaller quantities around. He might.

But really...for the ~$25 over your budget it would be, I would just go ahead and get a full roll. You'll end up using all of it.

You'll find both Anthony and Rick very helpful. Anthony will straight out tell you that RAAMmat is the low cost winner - but he will pretty quickly explain the advantages of using a higher quality product, maybe like Damplifier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

eDead uses a much less effective Mylar protective layer rather than the more useful aluminum foil constraining layer. As a rough estimate, I'd say you will need twice the eDead to equal RAAMmat and 1.5 times the RAAMmat to equal Damplifier.

Damplifier's quality claims are all legit.

I was going to buy the deadening, components and amp all at the same time but i think i will just buy the components and amp now then after a couple of months do the deadening. Will this be ok? Then i'd be able to spend a little more. So how bad would it be with new components in an undeadened door for a little while?

You'll see the need more clearly and appreciate it all the more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Raamat. I'd rather choose where the extra goes instead of having everything uniform. There are some spots on your panels that won't need as much and the flexibility that the BXT gives you especially at its price point is a no brainer. That and I too am a Rick fan.

If you dont want to buy a whole roll contact rick and talk to him. he is an awesome guy to deal with, and he sold me 2 and a half rolls of bxt so he would probably do half a roll or 3/4 for you if you wanted.
