After I was through building my new ported box today I hooked up my SPL160. I then started playing my Bass cd and I couldn't here anything. So I opened up the trunk and noticed barely any sound comming off the sub. So I took my sub out and noticed that I wired it wrong. I wired it for a 2 ohm load and used the negative on the right side and used the possitive ont the other coil on the right side. Oh how stupid I feel. Everything was hooked up right before but wanted to use a smaller a guage wire and I didn't pay attention! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
$91 down the drain. I don't even live in my home town where I know I can get it fixed for $50. The sub is stiff just like a dead body.
Now I have no subs and the one I do have I put it on ebay already.
