Not a fan of el caminos but that one looks pretty clean, I wouldn't tear it apart.

Well I have 2 engines now. I put a new 350 in it and have the old 350 still too.

Does the blazer have an overdrive transmission in it? If so throw the 350 in it and go. Just because you would have considerably more power you wouldn't have to use all of it. If you could keep your foot outta it, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah I'm considering this option a lot. It would go pretty good thats for sure.

It was already a 4.3 eh. You can bolt up pretty much everything from the 4.3 to a 350, keep the same ****** etc. Don't get rid of it yet.

But then if you do, you have to notch the oil pan IIRC, and then everyone I know that put a small block in an s-10 broke the rear end multiple times.

Thats the fun part about power, you just keep going down the line replacing the weakest link. If you replace a weak link with a like part it will surely break again. Not too smart if your breaking the same thing multiple times...shoulda upgraded.

Ya he would need a special oil pan or to notch a stocker. I got mine off ebay for cheap and they come up often. I personally know of 3 buddies that have v8 s10's that haven't blown their rears. Hopefully my rear end holds up when I get my v8 blazer done.

Luckily it was under warranty then, even though it was abuse that broke it.
