I am looking for a R/C truck.

I have a Traxxas Rustler that is none working and beat up so I was thinking about getting another one.

I was going to get a Traxxas T-Maxx or a Hpi Savage. but I am not at Baller statis at the moment!!!!!!

who plays with these things and what do you have???

I only want to pay $100 for one with a remote. so I think I am getting a Rustler, and not the fast one

You can't really get much for $100 the steering servo on mine cost about that. Save your money and wait till you've got money for something better. If you want nitro be prepared to pay more, a lot more. My HPI Hellfire SS cost $1k+ to build, was building it to race at a local track, unfortunately the hobby store that owned it tanked before I finished it so now I have no where to run it other then fields and dirt lots as the nearest track I'm aware of is almost 100miles away. >//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The sad thing is in the nitro hobby that when you buy a truck it automatically loses about 70% of its value stock and if you modify it take the total amount you put into it and cut that by about 60%. I had to sell my HPI Savage for dirt cheap and it had about 1500 in it.

If you buy a nitro R/C car/truck thinking its an investment, you have already lost.
Who said they are an investment? There just good stupid fun that costs a shit ton of money. I had a massive amount of fun building mine. And even more fun watching it do donuts and run zoom around at 40mph. Just wish I had a good place to run it rather then just the rare open dirt lot. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

His comment was what I was referring to. Since it was just above mine, I didnt think quoting was necessary.

I was looking at t-maxx or savage, and everyone says Savage is better at everything except RAcing on a track. So I got the Savage ss 4.6 but I sold it for some quick cash. and now I want one but I already have $1400 going out this month, so I can't be spending $400 on a toy that I will break in a matter of MINITES.

Back at baller statis, I bought a brand new rustler Xl-5 and a stock Hpi savage x 4.6, and a fully modded all alum. savage with a Mach 28 motor and 3 speed *****. getting ready to find a nice drift car now

Nice. I used to have a bunch of R/C Cars; both Nitro and Electric but I sold em all off. I was thinking about getting another one like the Revo or maybe even one of those nice looking Truggies like the one by Jammin' .... But I am more into R/C Electric Planes atm so I'm gonna pick up a nice pattern flyer to ease me back on the sticks.
