RË XXX or MT w/pïcs

new xxx's are just iompractical as far as power needed and thier outrageous price...you can get better peformance out of 2 older xxx's for LESS than buyinga new xxx....seriously....the prices are relativly low on older xxx's so id go with onj eof those while they still makem, good luck...
yea, but how do you know...nobody has numbers on them yet, or really even a good review.

I would suggest going to your local shop and having them pick and install everything for you.
Unless you want to stick around here, read a heck of a lot of info. Then choose equipment that fit's your needs.

Because it sounds like you are new to this, and the basis to your questions are kind of sketchy.

I'm new to posting on the caraudio forums, but I'm not new to the idea of communicating with others when using process of elimantion in finding what product will best suit my needs. I would hate to think what the local caraudio shops would want to install in my truck for me. In AZ i haven't seen a decent sounding install from Chronic Car Audio, Audio Xpress, Soundwerks, Kustom Car Sound, etc. They are all crappy. During my college times a couple years ago I saw many kids drop 2-3k on a system at a local shop and not get anywhere near the quality of what I had setup in my sig. I'm a network admin with lotsa downtime at my job, so I have all day to read a heck of alot of info on this topic. I've been using the forums search since 9am-1pm looking up info on the RE 12" XXX, but alot of threads are left un answered.

SHiZNiLTi - nice ride... Good luck on your search...
Thanks!

Should pick up that 12" RL-S thats floating around right now, sound sound great on that 1200.1
I will search for that now, let me know if you know where it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You could get a tumult if adire ever gets them off backorder. Lowend machine..... RL-S are nice, but they require quite a lot of space, and more than 1200 watts wouldn't hurt.

they need power but u can still put a rl-s12 in 2,5 cubes ported tuned to 35hz and break 140db and still have rediculously good sq

but thats with 1200watts

80

ive run just about every sub out there at one time or another and the re sx line has impressed me,they have good sq,plus do good in spl, personally i own 2 12 sx's,2 15 sx's,and 2 18 xxx's.love em all

12W7 in 2.8 cubes @ 33hz w/ a 6'' aeroport FTW.
lol Carl, you have givin me advice in the past. Remeber I was gonna get the 1200.1 and the 12w7, well I got the amp now, but I'm still indecisive on what sub to get. The aeroports sound pretty good huh?

sorry for the OT remark but....your computer setup is awesome
Thanks, PM if you ever need any tech help or info on building the U†ima†e Se†up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

sx's are bad ***
Since I want to stay with the single sub conifugration, do you honestly think (1) 12"sx connected to a 1200.1 in perfectly made ported box will give me the kinda of output that I'm looking for?

The Soundsplinter RL-S 12 from what I've read seems like it really has the low bass that I'm looking for. Thanks for finding that thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

"If you must try the ported alignment, we advise aiming for a net internal volume between 4.0 and 6.0 cu ft, tuned between 14-22 Hz."

So they are saying ported is no bueno? Has anyone heard this sub in a sealed box?
