Qustion about jl 1000/1 .

Really? ARC audio where can I fond more info on that brand?
You can google them or check out caraudiomag.com,as they have done a couple review on them. Their designer is the same guy who does amps for zapco. Woofersetc.com does carry them but they want $549 for the ks 1000.1. I'm gettin mine for $399 from somebody in this forum and I'll let you know who it is so you can private message them if you private message me and let me know that your interested. Let me know, thanks josh.

JL Audio amplifiers are highly regulated internally. If the amp says 1,000 watts, it will produce 1,000 watts.

I've had kids try to tell me that their 500/1 outputs 900 watts, even though the amp is rated for 500. That just isn't the case because of the way JL Audio designed their power amplifiers!

As for the 1000.1 and the 1000.1 v2 differences, you just have a more modern product. Truthfully, I would have no problems running a JL Audio amplifier, but I am not paying MSRP for it!

I bought my girlfriend a JL 500/1 and 2 12's JL W3. I heard the Zapco 750.2, Alpine PDX 1.600 and the JL 500/1 out did them all. SO i'm sure the 1000/1 will out do alot other 1000 watt amps. Arc Audio amp also hit hard. I have a couple of friends sponsored by Arc their cars hit hard. So i would look into Arc amps too.

Alpine pdx amps are good long as you are running subs or midbass because they are class d amps. If you run them on your highs they will sound dull and flat. They will be clean it's just they will sound like you have your treble on -5. Thats because class d was never designed to be a full range amp.

But they are trying to pack more power in a small footprint so you got to sarifice somewhere and it's in the high frequency range. I had a Ice power class D 4 channel pioneer premier and it was the same also. It was clean as hell on the mid bass but the highs had no air or crisp to them dull and flat.
