I cant argue that, I didnt grow up in "the hood". I dont quite see why that matters to the reason I think its stupid that he has nothing to say that thousands before him havent said. Rapping is music, music is art, art isnt throwing slight variations of the same lyrics everyone else is using over pop beats to sell records. I didnt grow up in the hood, but I bet I could convince you that I had by writing an album saying this same stuff. Of course music is personal preference and I;m not trying to bash people who like this style, it can be fun to listen to when one of them has a clever line here and there. Its more that he didnt write this album for music/arts sake, he isnt coming out with an original piece of work, he isnt writing this for people like you who grew up in the hood to listen and say "hey, I can relate to this", he is writing it for the countless suburban/urban kids to sell records. Nothing wrong with that at all, we all want to make money, its just not my taste and since we are discussing this album, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about it.i would fight u on this but i am too tired plus it is ur opinion. But to put it short you have to had to grow up in the hood.
i am not going to read all that. But I respect ur opinion. i am not gettin in a word fight over it.I cant argue that, I didnt grow up in "the hood". haha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thats fine music means different things to all of us. For me, music isnt just entertainment, its like poetry, I like to listen to it, reflect on it, take things away from it. Thats goes for every genre I listen to.i am not going to read all that. But I respect ur opinion. i am not gettin in a word fight over it.
