"Stolen" 1970 Cutlass drop top

nice car, would look 10x sexier if it had gold dayton spoke rims instead of those //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not with a 65 year old white guy that owns it behind the wheel:laugh:

Rock is just for show, no really we were getting the rug to sit right after all the wires were ran
Says the guy that didnt work on the car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Beautiful car man. Before pics would be nice.
Thanks, I will see if I have them and will try to upload them. The pics will not really do the process justice though since the car was in great shape to begin with and looks very similar with the exception of the stereo.

The restoration was mostly a 'clean up' job such as better panel fitment and new paint (that is actually the same color as before), all new wiring, including taking out all existing factory wiring, fixing minor thing that did not work, such as most things electrical, redying and deadening of interior and trunk, electrical upgrades and of course the stereo and alarm.

The car actually averages about 10,000 miles a year driven so we didnt want to go too far on the process, even though we did spend more than we originally wanted to.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. This was my first full car teardown and rebuild and did not have as much time as I would have like to on some things, but overall I really am pleased and do get many compliments on it whenever I have driven it.

The rock was holding the carpet down while the glue dried (yes it was the shitty aerosol kind and I put the seats in sooner than I probably should have due to wanting to get out and drive it. I will try and get some 100% finished pics sometime soon.

Wow those would make it into some cholo piece of ****.

Sweet looking car.. I like the rims.. always been a fun of the cutlass .. engine details?
455 big block, minor upgrades including small bore, port and polish of heads, mild cam, hei distro, small coil. Its nothing real special but it reliable and has plenty of torque.
