"Quick disconnect" style terminal connector is too big for negative speaker terminals

I just bought a 100 pack of quick disconnects from amazon, and i think they are .250 inches wide.

They fit fine in the positive speaker terminals but the negatives are .125" and I can't find them online, and I'd rather just use what I have.

What do you all do in this situation? I know some of you must have used the 1/4" connections on the 1/8" negative terminals because there is only 1 listing for 1/8" connections on ebay and that is for 18 gauge wire..

I've already made the connection in my subs but I soldered that after a few minutes of messing around with a pliers.. but I can't easily solder these, so I'm just looking for some advice.

Thanks

strip about 1" of the wire, push it half-way through the hole, and bend it back and twist to itself. you can solder the wire that way. sometimes, with larger wire, you can only use half, or most of the strands to do this. you can use heat-shrink to make it look good. you can even put a male spade connector on it, like a pig-tail that you can put your female spade on, and still quick disconnect. btw, they are called "spade connectors"

I do this.

solder and heat shrink wire to terminals the disconnects on ends

Thanks guys! No wonder I couldn't find them in the right size, I didn't know what they were called! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I think I'll pick some .125" connectors up today.
