NEW IN BOX PAIR OF TC SOUNDS TC2000 12" SUBS SUBWOOFER - eBay (item 190435764933 end time Feb-21-11 16:49:32 PST)
Great sounding subwoofers there. I have two of the TC1000 12" subs sitting in my RE SE boxes right now. The sound quality is great with them, especially if you can land an TC2+ Motor. At one time, that was one of the SQ motor boner on this message board. That was a while ago.
If you are wanting to go with SQ, then the TC Sounds subs are a great choice and they do infact dive down REALLY LOW. Im not sure how well they would do in a ported box. I was throwing 700 watts rms in a relatively smaller sealed box in my truck. Alot of people use TC Sounds subs with the TC2+ motor for a custom home theater system. Why? Because they play extremely low and have extremely low distortion level. I plan on reconing them some day and use them for my home theater system. I would tune the boxes down to around 20-24hrtz.
I swapped them out once I blew them, they wiggled lose and decided to go free air on me. Used the wrong screws. I have learned since then. So I replaced them with two 12" RE SE's and I like the SPL out of those better. They are in a smaller box in my crew cab Sierra. I know they want more airspace.
