"Harsh" MB Quarts - what can I do?

The l-pads sound like avery good idea. those reference set tweets are very harsh.

any EQ you guys would recommend? am I looking for an old-fashioned in dash deal or something to mount by the amps?

I saw 9 graphic bands + 2 parametric and I jumped on it. I also am using a separate remote for sub boost/freq so I will be glad to get rid of that and use the controls on the eq!

What is the difference between a regular EQ and Parametric EQ ?

For your set of mbq, it is more of an sq set with clarity with lacking mid bass thats why u might find the tweets harsh because the balance is out. Besides because the set is new, the tweets tend to be much harsher. What u need to do is let the speakers run for some time and season the speakers.

You do not have to get an equalizer, but just get a good headunit for your needs. An equalizer will just add more interference to your sound quality although it will solve your problem.
