"floor" of trunk not level, where to place sub box

i have a 10" sub in a Q Logic Sealed Enclosure. However, because the spare tire is stored underneath, the "floor" of the trunk isn't level. See below pic:



this is approx. how much space the box would take up:

If I was to mount it towards the back of the car (where the "floor" is level), would this effect sound quality at all?
