and it's an "ASSEMBLY" plant. as in, they put the imported parts together there. there's a hyundai plant just north of here. doesnt mean hyundai is a local car brand just because they are assembled up the street

So, what are you or I going to do about it? Keep buying American, when half the shit is imported t us.....half is being way to nice.

I drive a Ford and I try as much to buy American made stuff, but it is getting harder and harder to find.

ok; all the profits from that plant; dont go to any US company or any of that; it goes to honda; in japan or china where ever their located... thats the point OP is getting to. US makes almost no money from that plant; they make money on just taxing the land and import export... thats just about it...

the LOCAL economy get s huge boost from the worker who earn a wage and then spend that wage LOCALLY on groceries, restaurants, bars, car dealers, rent, and millions of other things.

then you know what happens? the people who work at all those places get paid and then they spend the money LOCALLY again!! Z0mg!!1 Sales tax gets paid like 78 times by all those people!!!1
