4 gauge will been fine,especially if your install is in an F150, your probably going to have shorter runs,anyhow
4 gauge will be plenty large.

there is really no better power wire, wire is wire, its just copper in insulation, although some companies might use more or less insulation the others, an expensive wire will gets power the same as a cheap wire, unless you want some of those ulta flex wire or some thing, and those are pretty cool
