Quiting meat, cheese, oil, processed crap!

try eating healthy, dropping meat products is not good for you.

BS statement. Numerous studies comparing vegan diets to non-vegan diets indicate just the opposite. One shows that a non-vegan diet increases mortality risk by 6%, in comparison.

A recent 2012 study indicated that including any red meat in one's diet increases mortality risks by as much as 3% (an earlier study indicated that once/week was acceptable), while another indicated that there was no notable statistical mortality difference between consuming lean red meat, and either fish or chicken.

Yeapp..

Saw that documentary, and its saying the same old thing, watch how you eat, and do not stuff your face with meat.

Plant based diets have been proven for years to be better than those who meats...But then you have the prob of pesticides, which are in 90% of vegs/fruits you eat..

And w/ genetics and cloning..you really never know how *pure the meat is, if it is at all..

Eating food free of pesticides, hormones, steroids and all that is near impossible these days unless you grow it yourself. Even if food is labeled as "organic", that just means that it is free of pesticides and stuff like that. And a lot of it isn't even certified organic, it's just going off of the farmers word. My wife is going to school to be a dietician and we learned through there that you have to learn how to read the numbering system on fruits and vegetables that they put stickers on. It can be organic and still have been given steroids. There isn't really a set standard on what determines if something is organically grown. My family grew our own vegetables growing up and I have never been as sick as I have since joining the army and eating the crap they serve us and they crap that is all around the country

I really wish I was one of those people that can compost garbage but I'm not... and my health is suffering from it.

I'm giving this diet 2 months to see how my BP reacts.

right now I take the maximum dose of hydrochlorzidyde, Benazripril, Motoparol. I'm 31 and all these meds keeps my BP around 130/87

I'll report back and will see if this is the real deal.

Ding Ding Ding..thats the main point a lot of people fail to understand.

And even IF you grow your own stuff, Monsanto modified all kinds of crops, by the time you get the seeds its been altered in 1 form or another...Heres a link for those who are not familiar with the Notorious corp.

Then you're doing the right thing by making a lifestyle change.

Staying away from fried foods, red meat, many oils, and processed food is a solid start, but remember that there is a need for 'good' fats in any diet.

You can get the majority of these by supplementing with DHA and/or Omega 3-6-9. If you have to use oil for something, be certain to choose Sunflower, Safflower, or Canola over the other crap

And OP, u can't beat high bp either, only maintain it lol
Sorry, but that is not necessarily true.

If the OP has endogenous hypertensive factors or a genetic issue, then your statement might be correct.

However, if his HTN is due to diet, being overweight, or any combination of other exogenous factors, then he can definitely do more than just "maintain it."

My bet is that if he modifies his diet as he has remarked and adds a 20-30 minute mild exercise regimen 2-3 times per week, he may very well end up off all of his HTN med's...
