who makes good guitar starter packs?? im either thinking of fender or ibanez. i heard that the brand is dependant on what u want to play. id like to play mostly classic rock i.e. metallica, etc...

you can go wrong with a Fender

starter packs... pick one tey are all pretty crapy guitars with lil crappy amps.

great if you are starting and dont know if you want to keep at it BUT you will deianflty want to upgrade sooner then you think hha.

I would suggest trying to buy something a little better quality used.

absolute garbage

the ibanez i started on at age 15 in a starter pak is still being played, i sold it off about 3 years ago. i abused the thing like crazy and it still sounds great

Yea the strat pac sucks badly. You wouldnt know it if you got it, but when you look back, youll realize its crap. If youre just trying it to see if you like it, basically any starter pack would be okay.

Look at the epiphone packs on musiciansfriend.com. I believe that thyre starter packs are pretty decent. Look at the les paul and sg packs.
