Quick wiring question.

I want to put a sub and amp in my sisters car, nothing to special. I have an old Phoenix gold amp that will do 150 x 2 at 4 ohm. It's a 4 channel amp so that is the bridged power. But my question is, if I get a dual 4 ohm sub, can I just hook each individual coil up to it's own channel, to create a 4 ohm load, and give each coil 150 watts?

edit- you can but unless u have everything set perfect your sub will blow
