quick wiring question

How would I wire 2 Dual 4ohm subs down to 1ohm if the box has separate chambers and my amp has only one set of outs? ( ok i got this part now, its wired to 1ohm).

Heres the deal. I hooked everything up how I should and nothing from the subs. They are 2 12's. I hooked em up to my friends alpine amp so I know they function. I bought new rca cables because I thought that would fix it but nothing. I checked the voltage on the rca outputs on the deck and no voltage. So I get a LOC and hook it up to one of the rear speakers and still nothing. This is really frustrating. The subwoofer freature is on. The amp powers up (its a txa1000d btw) and I checked the voltage...it was at 12.31 at the +- hook ups on the amp but I still get no sound whatsoever from the subs. Is it a busted amp??

Anyone have any suggestions??? Im running out of ideas.

Ok i thought i had it but you lost me haha. I know the positives need to be connected together and the negatives together.

This is how i have it now.

1st sub:positive from one vc to + on other to + on terminal from the inside

then negative from one vc to - on other to - on terminal from the inside

2nd sub: same

So youre saying at this point i need to connect the positive from one sub to the other on the terminal from the outside? and same with the negative. then take one positive lead from one sub and one negative from the other to the amp?

just wanna make sure im following this.

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=2&woofer_imp=4
just like in the first diagram, connect both poistives on each speaker together and both negaives on each speaker together, then connect one postive and one negative from each speaker to the terminal cup for that chamber, then from there conect both postives together and both negatives together, and then connect one positve and one negative to the amp output

But a loc should still work even if I don't get voltage from rca outs on the deck. I believe its the amp but is there any way I can know for sure whithout getting a new one?

well if your not getting any voltage output from the deck then I'd say your deck is causing the problem...

No didn't get a chance to test them. I don't own a dmm my friend does so I have to always borrow it. Its a brand new "peripheral" brand loc. I assume its working but faaaaaaack. This is so frustrating.

did you test the LOC to make sure it's RCA's have a signal?
