How do you tell the difference between the 02-05 versions?

They all look the same to me just slightly bigger/smaller motors.

seems like everyone knows exactly what they have...

I'm just curious about the 05 years and why they're so sought after

Like these here from the classifieds they're all different sizes. wtf.

i know the 02 has the flat bottom plate where the 05 is rounded. but not sure on or if theres a diffrence from 03-05. Now that u mention it one of my subs looks a lot more shiny then the other one but i bought them both as "05"

hmmm thats interesting..I thought the 03-05 were the same...but in that pic the motors are diff size. My motor looks like that larger one tho:
